About Gecko Glass
I began fusing glass after working as an architect in the Pacific Northwest for nearly 30 years. In 2006 I retired and emigrated to Costa Rica where I opened Gecko Glass.
I am constantly inspired anew by life here in the tropics, pulling motifs from this strange environment. I explore themes of exotic flowers and reef fish. I’ve learned to celebrate the omnipresent insects. Yet, I believe all my work is drawn from my architectural experience and perspective, especially in the use of color.
I continue to explore the medium of glass fusing, constantly finding new ways to use the material. For many reasons, not the least of which is that where I live in Costa Rica it’s difficult to get my hands on good materials, I am especially interested in using recycled glass.

Hi could we take the beginner course with you? We’ll be in town from April 23 to May 8. Let me know what your schedule is. Thanks! Two of us, one an architect and the other a landscape architect. Actually I’d like to give this to my wife as a birthday present…its on April 26. Unfortunately that’s a Sunday I see. Anyway, let me know!
